Our members had an amazing adventure filled with unique tours, learning, and celebrations during our trip to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis! Along the way, we:
Toured Sjette Feedyard, which will eventually hold 150,000 head of cattle, featuring pens with rolled concrete – a rare sight!
Experienced the excitement of a rodeo 🤠
Explored Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City 🏈
Visited the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory to see how the iconic bats are made! 🪓
Enjoyed a day at an apple orchard, where we learned about apple growing, tasted fresh cider, and had a blast shooting apple cannons! 🍎🚀
At the convention, we connected with ag professionals at the Career Fair and Expo, attended inspiring sessions at Lucas Oil Stadium, and listened to impactful keynote speakers. A true highlight was celebrating Cooper Dewitt and Baylie Erickson as they received their prestigious American FFA Degrees with their families by their side!
Attendees included Abby Baughman, Brenda Tomas, Luke Kautz, Parker Spielmann, Tyler Everhart, Kacey Erickson, Ms. McSwain, and Mr. Everhart.

Meriino Schools experienced a power outage this afternoon and today's junior high football and volleyball games have been canceled. Power has been restored and the school day will continue as normal and release at 3:25. The football game vs Akron will be played at Merino on Monday, September 23 at 4:00. The volleyball game vs Akron will be played at Merino on Monday, October 7 at 4:00.

Our campus is under construction throughout this school year.
Parking in the main lot at the school is limited as we are currently working through an expansion project. There will be overflow parking available in the dirt lot that sits on the east side of the school grounds. It is across Main St. from our current parking lot. If someone needs dropped off closer to the building, feel free to access the bus lane to drop off, but park in marked spots or in the overflow parking lot.
