Lost & Found is still overflowing! Please come check it out or any items left after the bell on Wednesday, May 13th will be donated! We can't keep them over summer break. Thank you for helping us find their way home!

Library books are now overdue, and final notices went home today. Please have your student check all their bags, bookcases, or anywhere else books are kept. If they are not returned tomorrow morning, the cost of the book is on the paper I sent home with them. Thank you!

The Sterling Public Library always has an incredible month with things to do! Please check them out!


Please help your student check bookshelves, backpacks, and under beds for any missing library book! All books are due back by tomorrow, Thursday, April 30th. Any missing library book after Wednesday, May 6, 2026 will result in a book fine to replace the book. Please help me keep our library beautiful and well-stocked for generations to come!

The Arc of Northeast Colorado will be hosting an inclusive community pool party on Saturday June 13, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Sterling Rec Center.

The Merino FFA Chapter proudly represented our school and community at the State FFA Career Development Events, earning outstanding results across multiple competitions.
Leading the way, the Land Evaluation Team was named High Team Overall, showcasing their exceptional knowledge and skills. Individually, team members also earned top honors:
*Jerricho Carr – 2nd Overall, Gold Award, and recipient of a $1,000 scholarship to Colorado State University
*Ava Wirbs – 6th Overall, Gold Award
*Ermel Gonzalez-Tomas – 14th Overall, Silver Award
*Rowan Carr – 27th Overall, Bronze Award
In addition to the team’s success, Merino FFA members excelled in other events:
*Kashlyn Gordanier placed 20th Overall in Horse Evaluation, earning a Gold Award
*Parker Spielmann placed 19th Overall in Agronomy, earning a Silver Award
Thanks to their incredible performance, the Land Evaluation Team has qualified for Nationals, with a chance to represent Colorado on the national stage (Contest Pending).
Congratulations to all of our members for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. We are proud to support these outstanding students as they continue to achieve great things!
