Hello Students, Staff, and Parents,
Due to predicted weather forecasts the following changes have been made:
1. The HS basketball game at Stratton tomorrow has been postponed until February 14 @ 4:00 pm.
2. Knowledge Bowl has been canceled at Windsor tomorrow.
3. No School-Monday, January 20, 2025(Reminder)
4. JHWR @ Yuma on Monday has been canceled.
5. We will have a two-hour delayed start on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, due to the weather forecast for Monday night of subzero temperatures on Tuesday morning.
This means all buses will run 2 hours later than scheduled pickup times, and schools will start at 10:00 AM.
No sport practices at all Monday and on Tuesday morning.

Hello Parents and Guardians! We need your help!
We will be having our System Support Review (SSR) for our Student-Centered Accountability Program on February 4th! We are looking forward to getting feedback from our partner districts to continue improving our district and schools. One part of our SSR is getting feedback from parents in a focus group with our reviewers. We are looking for volunteers to sit down with a group of reviewers to give candid feedback and provide input that can help us continue to strive to be our best! If you are willing to help us, please contact Courtney Rank at rankc@merinok12.com. Below are the details:
What: Parent Focus Group
Where: Buffalo School District (exact room/school location to be determined)
When: Tuesday, February 4th at 12:00 p.m.
To show our appreciation for your help and recognize the time we are taking out of your day, lunch will be provided for all volunteers immediately following the focus group!

🌟 Merino FFA Shines at District XVI Contests! 🌟
We’re so proud of our Quiz Bowl teams and Creed Speaker for their amazing performances!
✅ Quiz Bowl Highlights:
Champions: The team of Parker Spielmann, Kacey Erickson, and Zara Connors took first place, earning the title of District XVI Champions! 🎉 They’ll represent our district at the State FFA Convention in June.
Semi-Finalists: The team of Kaleb Knutson, Lauren Lorenzo, and Haylee Lambert made it all the way to the semi-finals before a hard-fought, narrow defeat to Haxtun. 💪
🗣️ FFA Creed Speaking:
Lauren Lorenzo did an outstanding job in the Creed Speaking contest, placing in the Silver Category. 🌟
Jr High Boys Basketball LPAA Championship Game(East Side) will be Tuesday, December 17 @ 4:30 in Wray.
Our Junior High/High School Christmas concert is tonight at 7:00 in the big gymnasium. Come on out and watch these talented students perform!
