Dear Merino Families,
Our 7th grade students have been working incredibly hard on a special project in class — a
beautiful, handmade quilt! Not all students participated, but those who did put in a tremendous
amount of effort, creativity, and teamwork, and the finished quilt turned out amazing.
We are excited to raffle off this one-of-a-kind quilt for $5 per ticket. All proceeds will go toward
supporting the Class of 2031 as they begin building their class fund. This fund will first help
cover expenses for the 8th grade dance and will continue to support the class throughout high
school for future events and activities leading up to their senior year.
If you would like to purchase raffle tickets:
• Tickets are $5 each
• Students may bring cash to school, or you may contact me directly to reserve tickets
• The raffle drawing will take place on: Friday, March 27th.
This is a wonderful way to celebrate the students’ hard work while also helping them begin
preparing for the many memorable milestones ahead. Thank you so much for your continued
support of our students and their class activities! Attached are photos of the quilt with its soft
minky backing.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Warmly,
Denice Webb

🏀 Merino Rams Basketball Update – Pride, Heart, and the Road to Fort Collins! 🐏❤️
The Merino Rams Boys Basketball team wrapped up a tremendous 2026 season this weekend with a hard-fought Sweet 16 matchup against Limon. While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, the effort, determination, and heart shown by our boys throughout the season made the entire Merino community proud.
This group represented our school with class, toughness, and teamwork from start to finish. Thank you to our players, coaches, families, and fans for an incredible season and for the pride you brought to Ram Nation. Congratulations on a strong 2026 campaign!
Now the excitement continues…
🎉 Congratulations to our Merino Girls Basketball Team! 🎉
The Lady Rams captured the Regional Championship and are headed to the Elite 8 at Moby Arena in Fort Collins!

📍 Moby Arena – Fort Collins
🏀 Merino Rams vs. Akron Rams
The girls are chasing something special — a chance at a 3-peat state championship run — and they need Ram Nation behind them!
To support our team and give students and families the opportunity to attend the game, there will be NO SCHOOL (K–12) on Thursday, March 12. This will also serve as the start of Spring Break, with no school on Friday as well.
Let’s pack the stands in Fort Collins and show Colorado what Ram Pride looks like. Make the drive, wear your maroon and white, and cheer on our girls as they battle Akron in the Elite 8!
Let’s go Rams! 🐏🔥
